Course Memo
This course is an analysis of forces on engineering structure in equilibrium. Properties of forces, moments, couples and resultants are discussed. Equilibrium conditions, friction, centroids and area moments of inertia are covered. Students receive an introduction to free body diagrams, mathematical modeling and problem solving. Vector methods are used throughout the course. Prerequisites: MAT115, PHY120Assigned Books
